Mike Smerekanicz

Mike Smerekanicz has extensive work experience in the fields of sales and operational planning, financial planning and analysis, and accounting.

In 2000, they started working at Unimin Corporation as a Senior Accountant and later became an Accounting Manager. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. Then, from 2016 to 2017, they were the Manager of Sales and Operating Planning. Lastly, from 2017 to 2018, they held the position of Senior Manager of Sales and Operational Planning.

In 2018, Mike joined Covia as the Director of Sales and Operating Planning.

Mike Smerekanicz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Mike then pursued an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac University from 1996 to 1998. Mike later completed their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Quinnipiac University from 2003 to 2007.
