Carine Assouad has a diverse work experience in the investment and asset management industry. Carine was most recently the Head of Investment and Asset Management at Covivio, where they focused on equity investments in mixed-use developments across Europe. Carine incorporated sustainability throughout the life cycle of built environment assets. Prior to that, they worked at Colony Capital, Inc. as a Senior Vice President, where they made equity, mezzanine, and senior debt investments in various real assets and infrastructure projects in Europe. Carine also played a key role in the development of a new fund dedicated to the expansion of a leading data center player, DATA4. Carine Assouad began their career at Lehman Brothers and later moved to Goldman Sachs, where they gained experience in M&A, IPOs, and other transactions in sectors such as infrastructure, construction, transportation, energy, retail, and luxury goods. Carine also worked as an Investment Manager at FSI, where they focused on new money investments in French companies and had board representation, particularly in the automotive, biotechnology, chemistry, and agriculture sectors. In addition, Carine Assouad has lectured at Sciences Po. Currently, they are a member of Femmes Business Angels, serving as a Business Angel supporting women entrepreneurs.

Carine Assouad completed their education with a degree in Civil Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Beyrouth in 2000. In 2003, they obtained a degree in Finance and Strategy from ESSEC Business School. In 2023, they attended the University of Cambridge's Institute for Sustainability Leadership for a program in Sustainable Real Estate: Creating a Better Built Environment.
