Mickias Hailu

Mickias Hailu, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Finance at COVU and as a FinTech Consultant at Hypersonic Consulting, where responsibilities include advising on FinTech and financial services projects, startup advising, market intelligence, and investor sourcing. Previously, Mickias worked as an Investor at Portage Ventures, engaging with a global FinTech-focused fund and serving as a board observer for companies such as Albert and Atomic. Experience also includes a tenure as a Rock Venture Partner at Harvard Business School's Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and as an Investor at Core Innovation Capital. Additional roles encompass partnerships and new product development at Ready, as well as M&A and strategic ventures at The Hartford, contributing to significant venture investments and M&A transactions. Mickias holds a Bachelor's of Science in Finance from Syracuse University and furthered education at Harvard Business School and Management Leadership for Tomorrow.
