Annelies M.

Annelies M. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Annelies started their career as a Leerkracht Frans at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege Brussel in 2015 and later worked as a Leerkracht Frans at Koninklijk Atheneum Diest in 2016. In 2017, they had multiple roles, including a Stagiaire redactie at publiq vzw and an Enquêteur at Ipsos, where they conducted interviews in Dutch, French, and English for clients such as the National Bank of Belgium. Annelies also worked as a Projectmanager at Co-Vibes during this time. In 2018, Annelies joined publiq vzw as a Consulent vrijetijdscommunicatie en -marketing, where they served as a point of contact for partners within the UiTnetwerk. From 2021 to present, they have been working at suivez-moi BXL as a Gids, leading original and engaging tours in Brussels. Annelies also has experience in sales and technical roles, as a Sales Expert & Technician at COWBOY. Most recently, in 2022, they started working at VRT as a Gids. Throughout their career, Annelies has demonstrated adaptability, communication skills, and a passion for exploring and sharing knowledge.

Annelies M. has a varied and extensive education history. Annelies started their education in 2000 at Muziekacademie ART, where they obtained a higher degree in piano. From 2004 to 2010, they attended Voorzienigheid Diest for their secondary education, focusing on the Latin and modern language subjects.

Moving on to higher education, Annelies studied at KU Leuven from 2010 to 2014, earning a Master's degree in Language and Literature, specializing in French and Italian language and literature. Annelies then spent one year, from 2013 to 2014, at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, where they pursued research specialization in modern letters and linguistics.

In 2014, Annelies returned to KU Leuven for additional studies and completed the Specific Teacher Training program in 2015. This program equipped their with the skills and knowledge necessary for teaching.

Annelies further expanded their expertise by taking up a course in Bicycle Technology at SYNTRA Brussel from 2018 to 2019, focusing on the basics of bike repair and maintenance.

Apart from their formal education, Annelies also obtained a certification in the Young Potentials Business Summer School from Young Potentials in July 2017.
