Jan Behrendt Ibsø

Jan Behrendt Ibsø is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving on the Advisory Board of Green Executives and CIP Fonden, the latter focusing on Energy Infrastructure and renewable technologies. Since September 2017, Jan Behrendt Ibsø has held the position of Group Senior Vice President at COWI, and previously served as CEO/Managing Director of UL International and Vice Chair of the UL Renewables Council from July 2014 to December 2017. Notable roles include Senior Advisor for the Block Island Offshore Wind Farm at Ørsted and Executive Vice President at ABS Group. Jan's extensive experience in wind energy also includes a period as General Manager for DNV’s Global Wind Energy division. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Offshore Technology and a Master's in Civil Engineering from DTU, alongside further studies in Offshore Structures at Nagoya University and ongoing Board Education.
