Kenneth C. Kleissl

Kenneth C. Kleissl, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Kenneth C. started their career as a Civil Engineering Professional at COWI International, specializing in team coordination and technical design work for major concrete bridge components. Kenneth C. then transitioned into a more digital role within COWI, supporting the division's digital transformation and raising digital maturity by becoming a Python system responsible and coach. Kenneth later became the AI Lead and Senior Specialist at COWI International, establishing the company's AI Centre of Excellence and leading AI initiatives. Kenneth C. then moved to the role of AI Lead and Associate Digital Director at COWI Group, responsible for the development and adoption of new AI policies and technologies. Alongside their roles at COWI, Kenneth also served as a Board Member at COWIfonden and COWI Holding. Prior to their career at COWI, they worked as a Ph.D. Research Fellow and Research Assistant at DTU Civil Engineering, focusing on aerodynamic cable control and data analysis. Kenneth also gained experience as a Student Placement at BuroHappold Engineering, collaborating closely with architects in structural analysis and design. In addition, they were a National Advisory Board member at Pioneer Centre for AI.

Kenneth C. Kleissl, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in various fields. Kenneth C. obtained a Ph.D. in Aerodynamic Control of Bridge Cables from DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 2012. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2009, and a BSc in Civil Engineering in 2007.

Kenneth also holds a Graduate Diploma (HD) in Business Administration and Innovation Management from Copenhagen Business School, which they completed from 2017 to 2018. Kenneth C. further expanded their education in the field of data science by completing a Professional Certificate in Data Science from IBM in 2019.

In recent years, Kenneth has been focused on deep learning and machine learning. Kenneth C. completed a Specialization in Deep Learning from DeepLearning.AI in 2019, and later that year, they earned a Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity with a focus on machine learning and MLOps. In 2021, they obtained a Specialization in Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLOps) from DeepLearning.AI.

Kenneth has also pursued further education in Information Technology, obtaining a Master's degree in IT-Management from IT-Universitetet i København in 2024.

Additionally, Kenneth has gained several certifications related to their expertise. These include certifications in Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies, product-led certification, Linux Foundation certifications, Scrum certifications, and various certifications in machine learning, deep learning, and data engineering obtained from online platforms such as Coursera, edX, and LinkedIn.
