Paul Curran

EVP, Television at Cox Media Group

Paul Curran is Executive Vice President, TV, of Cox Media Group, overseeing programing, operations, and sales for the company’s 25 full powered TV stations in 24 markets.

As the head of Television, Paul is responsible for working collaboratively with other stakeholders to create the station of the future that offers compelling product, increases audience engagement, while creating value to our customers and generating profit.

Prior to this role, Paul served as VP and General Manager of Orlando TV stations WFTV and WDRQ. He also has worked as CMG’s VP of Sales, strategically managing sales revenue across TV, Radio and Newspaper properties. Curran began his Cox career in 1995 as an Account Executive at KTVU Television in San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose. Along with this roster of roles, Paul’s career highlights also include working as Director of Sales in Pittsburgh. Following college, Paul’s first role was as Account Executive at KSBW Television in Monterey, Calif.

Currently, Paul serves on the boards of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Orlando Economic Partnership, Florida Association of Broadcasters, and Florida Citrus Sports.

Paul graduated from Georgetown University in 1990 with an AB in Government.
