Yuming Yang

Principal Scientist at CP Kelco

Yuming Yang is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in analytical chemistry, colloid science, and material development. As a Principal Scientist at CP Kelco since September 2019, Yuming Yang conducts extensive research on structure and property analysis, developing analytical methods to support business and customer needs. Prior roles include serving as an Analytical Scientist at Oxiteno, where Yuming Yang established an R&D analytical lab, and working as a Researcher for a venture capital-funded startup. Yuming Yang has also held positions at Halliburton as a Principal Scientist, focusing on bio-polymer and surfactant product development, and at The Clorox Company, where contributions were made to corporate innovation efforts. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Chemist at CESI Chemical and Flotek Industries, where surfactant and polymer technologies were developed. Yuming Yang earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Louisiana State University, an MS in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University, and a BE in Chemical Engineering from Southwest Petroleum University.
