Alexander Åstrand

System Engineer at CPAC Systems AB

Alexander Åstrand has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Alexander started their career as a Full-stack Web Developer at Chalmers tekniska högskola in June 2017 and worked until March 2019.

In March 2019, they joined AXsensor AB as a Product Development Assistant, where they helped in the development of IoT-sensors. Alexander gained valuable insights into the R&D process and technology patents until November 2019.

In June 2019, Alexander joined Göteborg Energi as a System Specialist, working on the implementation of research on verification of streaming measurement data. Alexander continued in this role until August 2019.

From June 2019 to December 2021, they also worked part-time as an Event Timer at est mika:timing, where they timed sports events like Jönköping IronMan 70.3 and Dubai Marathon.

Alexander then worked at Volvo Cars as a Master Thesis Student from January 2021 to August 2021, followed by a role as a System Test Engineer from August 2021 to April 2022.

Currently, they are employed at CPAC Systems AB, where they have worked as a Test Engineer from April 2022 to May 2022. Alexander is currently serving as a Test Lead and System Engineer at the company, starting in June 2022 and January 2023, respectively.

Alexander Åstrand completed their Gymnasieexamen in Technology at Elof Lindälvs Gymnasium from 2013 to 2016. Alexander then pursued their Master of Science in Engineering degree with a focus on Automation and Mechatronics at Chalmers University of Technology from 2016 to 2019. Following that, they furthered their studies at Chalmers University of Technology and obtained a Civilingenjörsexamen in System, Controls, and Mechatronics from 2019 to 2021.
