James Melvin

James Melvin has a diverse range of work experience. James started their career in the US Navy, serving as an Ensign to Lieutenant from 1983 to 1987. After that, they worked as a Marketing Engineer at EG&G Sealol from 1987 to 1989. From 1989 to 1995, they were a Product Line Manager at Texas Instruments. James then joined Unison Industries, where they held various positions, including Director and Manager from 1995 to 2002, and Director of Marketing from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they worked at Kaman Aerospace Corporation as a Vice President of Business Development from 2005 to 2017. James later joined Triumph Group as a Vice President of Business Development from 2017 to 2019. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing, a Stanley Black and Decker Company. Currently, they are the Director of Business Development at CPI Aerostructures since 2022.

James Melvin earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame from 1979 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a Marketing Concentration from the University of Rhode Island - College of Business from 1989 to 1992.
