Heather Merrifield

Heather Merrifield is an experienced professional with a strong background in environmental policy and management. Currently serving as an Analyst in Business Execution at CPower Energy since January 2023, Heather previously worked as a Field Cost Accountant at Environmental Restoration LLC and as an Autocad Technician at Mill Technology Inc. Heather has also held various roles in the hospitality and environmental sectors, including Head Bartender at Basil Wood Fired Kitchen and Lounge and a Legislative Intern with the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club. Notable internships include Environmental Journalism Intern at Global Treks and Adventures and Environmental Stewardship Intern at the Sierra Club, where responsibilities encompassed conducting research, organizing events, and public relations. Heather holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland, focusing on History, Environmental Studies, and Spanish.
