Heather Carter, Au.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in audiology. Heather started their career as an Audiology Extern at Georgetown University Medical Center in 1997. Heather then worked as a Clinical Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital until 1998. After that, they joined Fairfax County Public Schools as an Educational Audiologist from 1998 to 2003. Following this, they served as an Educational Audiologist at the American School for the Deaf from 2004 to 2011.

In 2007, Heather joined Connecticut Ear, Nose & Throat Associates, PC as the Assistant Director of Audiology. Heather was responsible for various tasks such as audiological and diagnostic evaluations, cochlear implant and Baha evaluations, as well as increasing sales of hearing aids. Heather also collaborated with external institutions to supervise graduate-level externs. During their time there, they successfully expanded the practice's locations and increased hearing aid sales significantly.

In 2012, Heather moved to Connecticut Children's Medical Center where they worked as a Clinical Audiologist until 2014. During this time, they gained valuable experience in providing audiological care in a medical setting.

In 2014, Heather joined CQ Partners as the Director of Audiology, taking on additional responsibilities as a Business Development Account Manager. Heather held this position until the present, utilizing their expertise in audiology and business development.

Heather Carter, Au.D. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communication Disorders Sciences and Services from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1996. Heather then pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Audiology/Audiologist from Gallaudet University, which they completed in 1998. Heather furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Gallaudet University in 2002.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Heather Carter also holds various certifications. Heather has been certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA) and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) issued by The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Furthermore, they are a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is a member of the Association of Doctors of Audiology.
