Richard Drake attended Outwood Grange School in Wakefield from 1987 to 1994. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any particular field of study. However, they later enrolled at Newcastle University from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering and successfully completed it with a 2.1 classification (BEng 2.1). After their formal education, Richard obtained a certification in the ABB Manager Development Programme from ABB in November 2012.
