Leo Versola

Leo Versola has a extensive work experience in the cybersecurity and networking industry. Leo has held various senior positions in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1999, Leo worked at Juniper Networks where they served as a Senior Manager in Global Consulting Systems Engineering, leading the team both before and after the acquisition of NetScreen Technologies. Leo continued to excel in this position until 2005.

From 2005 to 2007, Leo joined Fortinet, a pre-IPO security start-up, as a Senior Director. Leo was responsible for Americas Sales Engineering and Global Consulting Engineering.

Next, Leo worked at RedSeal, Inc. as a Senior Director of Worldwide Sales Engineering. Leo played an instrumental role in building and leading the initial Sales Engineering team.

In 2008, Leo transitioned to Forcepoint as a Director of Sales Engineering for the West region. Leo joined the company when it was still known as Websense and witnessed its acquisition and rebranding.

Leo's next role was at Barracuda, a late-stage pre-IPO security company, where they worked as a Senior Product Manager for Virtualized Security Platforms.

In 2012, Leo joined Shadow Networks, an early-stage security and SDN start-up, as a Senior Director of Products. Leo contributed to the development of advanced threat deception products before the company was acquired in 2016.

Leo then joined Zscaler, a late-stage pre-IPO security company, as the Director of Sales Engineering for the West region. Leo led multiple teams, including Channel Sales Engineering, and played a key role in achieving revenue targets. The company went public in 2018.

In 2016, Leo became the Senior Director of Products at Comodo, focusing on Advanced Endpoint Protection and Cloud Threat Intelligence.

Leo's career took him to VMware SASE and Edge in 2016 as a VP of Technical Business Development and Strategic Alliances. Leo also held the role of OEM/Strategic Alliances for World-Wide NSX Security Solutions.

Most recently, Leo joined Cradlepoint as the Group CTO of Security Products, specializing in 5G/SASE Zero Trust Solutions. Cradlepoint is a leader in 5G for business solutions, and Leo's role continued through their acquisition of Ericom.

Throughout their career, Leo has demonstrated excellent leadership skills and a strong technical background, delivering results and building partnerships with top vendors in the industry.

Leo Versola has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Diego State University. Additionally, they studied Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences at UC Santa Barbara. Leo also holds certifications as a Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA), Zscaler Certified Sales Engineer (ZCSE), and Zscaler Certified Sales Professional (ZCSP) from Zscaler.
