Md Khirul Islam

Md Khirul Islam has over 5 years of work experience in the field of software engineering and DevOps. Md Khirul currently works as a Software Engineer - Team Lead at Craftsmen since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as a DevOps Engineer at Octopi Technology Ltd. from November 2018 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the deployment, automation, maintenance, and management of the AWS cloud-based production system.

Before joining Octopi Technology Ltd., Md Khirul Islam worked as a Software Engineer at Pridesys IT Ltd. from November 2016 to October 2018. Md Khirul collaborated with a cross-functional team to determine requirement specifications for new applications.

Furthermore, they gained experience as a Junior Software Engineer at IBCS-Primax Software Bangladesh Ltd. from November 2015 to April 2016, where they were involved in creating REST API and implementing server-side business logic.

Md Khirul Islam completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Development Alternative from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they studied Science at Govt. M. M. City College in Khulna from 2008 to 2010 for their H.S.C degree, and at Khulna Zilla School in Khulna from 2000 to 2008 for their S.S.C degree.

In addition to their formal education, Md Khirul Islam obtained various certifications. Md Khirul completed courses in R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox through Coursera in June 2018 and May 2018 respectively. Md Khirul also obtained a certification in Database Management and Administration from the Bangladesh-Korea Information Access Center in February 2015, and another certification in Java Enterprise Web Programming from the same institution in July 2014. Furthermore, they acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Udemy and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019.
