Alana Newell

A native of Los Angeles, Alana Newell has always been interested in the arts and technology. After completing their undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, they worked as an intern at The Syndicate / CafeFX, before being hired on as a Compositor at Fuel VFX. From there, they moved to Rhythm and Hues, where they spent three years as a Digital Compositor. In 2010, they joined Rising Sun Pictures as Head of Production and Operations, where they stayed for ten years before moving to their current position as COO at Crafty Apes VFX.

Alana Newell has a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Australia, as well as Executive Education in Project Management from the same school. Alana also has a degree from Otis College of Art and Design, and another from California State University, Northridge.

They work with Leo Dencik - CFO, Tim LeDoux - Co-Founder & Senior VFX Supervisor, and Melissa Blakey - Global Head of Talent. Alana Newell reports to Jason Sanford, Co-Founder & Executive Producer.
