Rebecca Smith is an accomplished artist and educator specializing in fiber arts, fashion design, and weaving. Currently serving as an Artist in Residence at Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School since August 2023, Rebecca also operates Rebecca Daryl Handmade, which features a unique collection of hand-woven jewelry and textiles. Previous academic roles include Visiting Assistant Professor at Berea College and Adjunct Instructor at Tennessee Technological University. Rebecca's professional experience spans various positions, including Artist in Residence at the Appalachian Center for Crafts and Senior Designer at New Ravenna Mosaics. With a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art, Rebecca has a strong educational foundation in fiber, textile, and weaving arts.
