Melita Parkes

Mel Parkes is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in educational institutions and various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Cranbrook School since June 2021, Mel is responsible for delivering strategic projects and leading a team of eight while engaging with stakeholders. Prior roles include Head of Communications at SHORE School, where Mel established and operated the marketing function, and Marketing Manager at Arden Anglican School, focusing on brand development and communications. Earlier in the career, Mel held positions such as Online Marketing Manager at Wesley Mission, Marketing Manager at Kinetica, and communications roles in several marketing consulting firms, managing high-profile projects for clients like Sun Microsystems and Digital Equipment Corporation. Mel holds a BSc (Hons) in Marketing from Newcastle University and a Marketing Certificate from North Sydney College of TAFE.
