Matt Muir

Matt Muir is a highly experienced engineer specializing in product development and process improvement, with a career spanning over three decades in the chemical and materials industries. Currently serving as a Senior Process Development Engineer at Crane Currency since December 2015, Matt leads independent R&D projects aimed at innovation and quality enhancement. Previous roles include R&D/Product Development Engineer at AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. and Project Team Leader at Valspar, where Matt managed teams to address technical challenges and develop new products. Earlier experience includes significant contributions as a Product and Process Engineer at Veyance Technologies, a Senior Product Engineer at Garlock Sealing Technologies, and a Senior Chemist at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Matt holds a Ph.D. and a BS in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
