Matt Pfile has worked in a variety of roles across several companies. Matt began their career in 1997 as an Associate at U.S. Bank. In 1999, they moved to NuVox Communications as a Network Planning Engineer. In 2004, they became an Associate at InvestRx. Matt then went to ECG Management Consultants, Inc. in 2005 as a Senior Consultant. In 2007, they joined Google Inc. as a Data Center Energy & Location Strategy, Asia and later moved to Data Center Energy & Location Strategy, Americas. Matt also held the role of Global Network Acquisition, where they led business development discussions with potential partners for network infrastructure acquisition. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer at Crane Data Centers.

Matt Pfile began their educational journey in 1993 when they attended Georgetown University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, Finance, and English in 1997. In 2003, they returned to school and completed their MBA in Finance, Negotiation, and Strategy from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School in 2005.
