Paul Venderley has over 25 years of experience in the field of instructional design and training. From 1993 to 2000, they worked as an MIS Analyst at Bank of America Mortgage, where they were the system administrator for the Default Administration Information System (DAISY). In 2000, they became a Trainer at New Century, where they facilitated new hire training classes and developed and facilitated new classes focusing on the default side of mortgage servicing. From 2001 to 2007, they worked at AMC Mortgage Services and Citi Residential Lending (CRL) as a Performance Analyst and Performance Technologist II, respectively. In these roles, they acted as an internal consultant, working with upper and middle management to assess, develop, and facilitate training programs throughout loan servicing divisions.
From 2009 to 2014, Paul worked at Corinthian Colleges as a Team Lead/Senior Instructional Designer and Sr. Training Specialist. In these roles, they designed webinar, eLearning, and blended learning training interventions for existing and new Campus Support projects. Paul also led a team of four employees in the design of eLearning and webinar-oriented training interventions. In 2014, they joined Orora Packaging Solutions as an Instructional Designer, where they collaborated with various internal clients both in North America and Australia to design, develop, and evaluate a broad spectrum of training interventions.
Since 2019, Paul has been working at CraneMorley as a Creative Lead/Senior Instructional Designer. In this role, they are the project manager for multiple programs converting Instructor-Led Training content to eLearning modules for a regional public utilities corporation. Paul also collaborates with and advises subject matter experts on the most efficient approach to implementing revised blended curricula. Additionally, they direct a team of graphic designers, photographers and videographers, and programmers to create and coordinate module assets.
Paul has also held multiple volunteer roles with ATD Orange County since 2017. As the Leader of the Training and Technology Special Interest Group, they designed a Virtual Instructor Led Training train-the-trainer program and lead an award-winning group of eLearning designers within a safe Project Based Learning (PBL) environment. As the Vice President of Programs, they oversaw all aspects of ATD-Orange County Programs, from analyzing Chapter member needs, to recruiting event speakers and volunteers, to creating a communication plan for each event.
Paul Venderley earned their BA in Economics and Theatre from Hillsdale College. Paul also holds a Certificate Course in Human Performance Improvement from ASTD National, partnering with Chapman University Extended Education. Additionally, they are an Adobe Captivate Specialist (2019 release) certified by Adobe Inc. in October 2018, and a Designated ATD Master eLearning Instructional Designer certified by ATD.
