Rhona Whitlock has over 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Rhona began their career in 1999 as a Sub-Contract Mechanical Design Engineer at GKN Aerospace. Rhona then moved to Inflite Engineering Services in 2000, where they continued in the same role. In 2001, they joined Boeing as a Sub-Contract Mechanical Design Engineer and held the role of Engineering Liaison for the 777 Final Assembly. In 2002, they joined Airbus Group as an Engineering Team Leader for the A321neo ACF, U.K Wing Structures Work Package. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Collins Aerospace in various roles, including Programme Manager - Cost Down & Business Development - Composite Centre of Excellence, Business Development Manager (6 month secondment), and Engineering Project Lead - Head of Version Engineering - A350 Galleys. In 2020, they joined Blue Bear Systems Research Ltd as a Principal Project Manager. Since 2021, they have been a Senior Project Manager at Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, managing first and second tier suppliers through the new product development life cycle to deliver hardware for the demonstrator flight test programme, as well as being a Project Manager for AXSIM motorsport simulators.
Rhona Whitlock received their Master's Degree in Project Management & Leadership from the University of Portsmouth. Rhona also holds an HNC from the University College Isle of Man in Mechanical & Production Engineering, an ONC from Belfast College of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, and a Short Brothers Technician Apprenticeship from Short Brothers in Belfast (now Bombardier Aerospace) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
