Principal Mechanical Design Engineer at Cranfield Aerospace

Stewart Griffiths MRAeS has worked in the aerospace industry since 2007, beginning their career at Astrium as a Design Engineer, where they designed structural components for satellites. In 2011, they moved to Lotus Cars as a Design Engineer, and then to Cranfield Aerospace Ltd in 2012 and 2014, both times as a Design Engineer. In 2015, they moved to Group Lotus plc, first as a Senior Design Engineer in the Powertrain group, and then as a Design Engineer in the Chassis group. Stewart then moved to D2H Engineering as a Design Engineer before joining Mirus Aircraft Seating in 2016 as a Senior Design Engineer. In this role, they became the Platform Architect, Hawk Twin Aisle and was the go-to person for metallic parts. In 2020, they joined Cranfield Aerospace Solutions as a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer and Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Stewart Griffiths MRAeS's education history includes studying Computer Aided Engineering at Norwich City College from 1993 to 1996, obtaining a BTEC HND. Stewart also studied Science at Keighley College from 1989 to 1991, obtaining a BTEC OND. Prior to that, they attended Ilkley Grammar School from 1986 to 1989, and Ilkley Middle School from 1982 to 1986.
