Tamara Laughton has over 15 years of experience in the education field. Tamara started their career as a Rowing Coach and Physical Education teacher at Gippsland Grammar in 2004. Tamara then worked at Gillotts School from 2006 to 2019, where they held various roles such as Teacher of Science (Chemistry), Head of House, Continued Professional Development Leader, and Citizenship, Personal Health and Economic Education Subject Coordinator. In 2019, they joined Cranford House School as a Teacher of Chemistry and Assistant Head of Year 11.

Tamara Laughton attended Harrogate Ladies' College from 1994 to 2000. Tamara then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BScHons) in Animal Science at Newcastle University from 2000 to 2003. Afterward, they attended the University of Oxford from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Secondary Science Education.
