Jim Nguyen

Jim Nguyen is an experienced educator specializing in Political Science and Ethnic Studies, currently serving as an Instructor at De Anza College since June 2009. Jim has held various positions including Project Director for the AANAPISI Department of Education Grant at Chabot College and Instructor roles at Ohlone College and the Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute. Additionally, Jim has a background in advocacy and policy work, having served as a Congressional Assistant for Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren and as an Advocate for the Law Center for Families and Legal Services of Northern California. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from Santa Clara University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, along with certifications in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
