Jói Sigurdsson

Jói Sigurdsson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2000, they co-founded Propheus and served as the Chief Technology Officer until 2000. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Maskina, where they built up the engineering department and developed products for telcos. In the same period, they also worked as a Consultant at OZ Communications. From 2003 to 2004, Jói worked as a Software Engineer at GreenBorder, where they created a desktop security product later incorporated into Google Chrome. In 2004, they joined Google as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, playing a key role in projects such as Google Desktop and Google Toolbar. Jói left Google in 2014 and founded CrankWheel, where they currently serve as the Founder and CEO, specializing in screen sharing for inside sales teams. Additionally, Jói has held roles as a Partner at Investa, an early-stage investor in Iceland, a Venture Partner at Rubicon Venture Capital, the Chairman of the Board at OZ, and a Board Member at Dohop.
