Christian Lutz is an experienced entrepreneur and investor. In 2022, they began their role as COO and Co-Founder of Tree.ly, unlocking the Carbon Sequestration Potential of Europe's forests through a managed data platform. Prior to this, they were Director of the Board and Founder, CEO of Crate.io from 2013-2022, a leading open-source, distributed SQL database. From 2010-2013, Christian was Supervisory Board Member of TGW Logistics Group, a supplier of material handling equipment and automated storage and retrieval systems, as well as Director of Foundation/Trust of TGW Future Privatstiftung / Trust. Additionally, they were Investment Committee Member and Investor of Speedinvest from 2011-2014, CEO and Co-Founder of Impossible Camera GmbH from 2005-2008, Member Board of Directors of Reality Jockey, Ltd. from 2008-2010, President and Co-Founder of fatfoogoo from 2006-2010, and Vice President, Content Delivery Platform of Amdocs from 2006-2005. Before Amdocs, Christian served as General Manager Europe of Qpass from 2005-2006.

Christian Lutz has an education history spanning from 1981 to 2011. From 1981 to 1986, they attended HTL Bregenz - Technical Highschool for Mechanical Engineering. From 1986 to 1992, they attended Technische Universität Wien and studied Industrial Engineering. In 2007, they attended Harvard Business School and studied LNV - Entrepreneurship.
