Peta Steyn has a diverse work experience ranging from project management in various industries to laboratory management in forensic science. They started their career as a Reporting Officer and Forensic DNA Analyst at the South African Police Service, where they conducted laboratory analysis and managed laboratory operations. They then worked as a Product Manager at LASEC, where they handled national and international inquiries, provided after-sales services, and managed stock within budget constraints. After that, Peta joined the University of Stellenbosch as a Principal and Senior Technical Officer, where they managed project, HR, and operations of facilities, as well as a team responsible for practical presentations. They later became a Project Coordinator at Roche, where they coordinated projects. Most recently, Peta worked at Crave Retail and GBE Global as a Project Manager and Technical Deployments Project Manager respectively, focusing on establishing and improving deployment service models and managing customer expectations and logistical tasks.

Peta Steyn's education history is as follows:

From 1994 to 1998, Peta Steyn attended Parel Vallei High School, where they obtained their Matriculation certificate. During this time, they studied subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Biology, Afrikaans, and Geography.

Between 1999 and 2002, Peta Steyn pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at Stellenbosch University. Peta'sfield of study was Bio-Organic Chemistry.

In 2003, Peta Steyn attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they completed an Honours degree in BSc Chemical Pathology.

From 2012 to 2014, Peta Steyn participated in the Regional Middle Management Development Programme offered by the Cape Higher Education Consortium, which included UCT, UWC, and Stellenbosch Universities. Peta studied Business Administration and Management, General during this program.

In 2016, Peta Steyn attended AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and became an Accounting Technician through their program, which was registered with FASSET and SAICA.

In the same year, Peta Steyn also completed a course in Project Management for Strategic Advantage offered by Stellenbosch Business School. The course focused on Project Management principles and practices.

In 2019, Peta Steyn enrolled at STADIO Higher Education to pursue a Master of Management degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Peta is expected to complete their studies in 2023.

Additionally, in 2019, Peta Steyn completed the Get Smarter Agile Project Management course offered by the University of Cape Town.

In 2022, Peta Steyn obtained a Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification in Project Management from 2KO Africa CC.
