Matthew Starr

Matthew Starr has a diverse work experience in the commercial real estate industry. Matthew currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at Crawford Hoying, a role they have held since February 2020. Prior to this, Matthew served as the Executive Vice President of Development at Crawford Hoying from January 2019 to February 2020. Matthew started their career at Crawford Hoying as the Director of Development in April 2014 and held the position until January 2019.

Before joining Crawford Hoying, Matthew worked at Nationwide Realty Investors from June 2004 to April 2014. During their time there, they held the role of Director-Real Estate Equities, where they provided development and asset management for several projects, including Grandview Yard in Columbus, Ohio, The Madison Club in La Quinta, CA, and Southshore Commons in Tampa, FL.

Matthew's early career was with National City Bank, where they worked from March 1995 to May 2004. Matthew held the position of Vice President-Investment Real Estate and managed a loan portfolio of over $100 million for various asset types, including land development, multi-family, retail, office, and industrial properties.

Matthew Starr completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance at Saginaw Valley State University from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1999 to 2002.
