K Royal, known as the ❤️ of Privacy, currently serves as the Global Chief Privacy Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Crawford & Company, overseeing a team of privacy professionals across multiple regions. With extensive experience in privacy law, K co-hosts the highly ranked Serious Privacy Podcast and holds teaching and research positions at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. Previous roles include privacy/data security consultancy, the first global privacy officer at Outschool, and various leadership positions at TrustArc, Align Technology, CellTrust Corp., and Concentra. K's educational background includes a JD from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, a PhD in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Dallas, an ASN in nursing from The University of West Alabama, and a BS in Psychology/Business Administration from Mississippi College.
