Grímur Sæmundsson has a diverse range of experience in the field of data and AI, working for various companies over the years. Grímur is currently employed at Crayon as a Data & AI Lead. Grímur Sæmundsson completed their Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Háskóli Íslands from 1989 to 1994. Grímur then pursued Systems Analysis in Computer Science at Reykjavik University from 1994 to 1998. Later, from 2002 to 2005, they attended Heriot-Watt University. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from Microsoft, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Trainer 2021-2022, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, DP-200 Implementing an Azure Data Solution, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. Grímur also obtained Generative AI Fundamentals certification from Google in 2023.
