Misa Tovia Va'aelua has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Misa Tovia is currently the Vice President of Sales - Tech for Good at Crayon since December 2022. Prior to that, Misa worked at rhipe from 2018 to 2022, where they held various positions including General Manager - Technology Advisory Group, General Manager - Australia & New Zealand, and Country Manager - New Zealand. Before rhipe, Misa had an extensive career at Microsoft starting in 2004. At Microsoft, they held several leadership roles such as Small, Medium & Corporate Lead, Small & Medium Enterprise Lead, Innovative Enterprises Lead, Business Group Lead - Microsoft Office Division, Business Group Lead - Server and Tools, and Product Marketing Manager. Additionally, Misa worked as the Chief Strategy Consultant at H2O Tech in 2014, and as a Services Manager at Datacom from 2001 to 2004. Misa Tovia began their career as a Business Services Manager at Sitel in 1999. Overall, Misa has a strong background in sales, management, and advisory roles in the technology industry.

Misa Tovia Va'aelua obtained a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from The University of Auckland from 1995 to 1998. Later, from 2007 to 2009, Misa pursued a Post Grad. Dip. in Business Administration from the same university. Recently, from 2020 to 2022, Misa completed a Master of Technological Futures in Information Technology at academyEX. Additional certifications include being a Certified Practitioner from the Institute for the Future in 2019, completing "Being a Good Mentor" course from LinkedIn in 2019, Microsoft-INSEAD Online Challenging Customers through Business Model Innovation from INSEAD Executive Education in 2016, and an IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from Pink Elephant in 2002.
