JP Bornholdt has extensive experience in the life science industry, with a focus on technical operations and facility planning. James "JP" has held various leadership roles, including Director of Technical Operations at CRB and Director of Technical Operations at SlateXpace. In these positions, they have worked on creating brand differentiation, implementing innovative solutions, and supporting regional teams throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, JP has experience as a Lead Project Manager, Lead Mechanical & HVAC Engineer, and Lead Project Architect. Prior to their roles at CRB and SlateXpace, they worked as a Mechanical Project Engineer at William Tao & Associates, where they managed MEPFT engineering projects and brought in consulting work. JP also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the KU Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, focusing on sustainability and life cycle analysis. James "JP" further expanded their skill set as a Construction Management Project Engineer at Paric Corporation Construction Management, coordinating construction projects and managing changes.

James "JP" Bornholdt attended The University of Kansas from 2003 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architectural Engineering and a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) in Architecture. In 2007, they briefly attended The University of British Columbia's School of Applied Science. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, they studied Architecture at the University of Stuttgart. James also holds several certifications, including a Professional Engineer (PE) license and Registered Architect (RA) certification from the State of Missouri, obtained in 2015. James "JP" also obtained the LEED AP Building Design and Construction Professional certification from GBCI in 2011.
