Mia Merrill

Mia Merrill is the VP & Head of Platform at Create. Prior to their current role, Merrill served as the interim head of talent and talent advisor at MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM from February 2019 to April 2019. In this role, they oversaw the people operation which scaled from 80 to 300 employees during their tenure. Merrill also implemented all people ops processes across the company, including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, performance management, termination, compliance across states, compensation, and more.

Merrill has also served as the director of talent at The Wing from January 2018 to January 2019 and as the founder of Candid from January 2016 to December 2021. In their role as director of talent at Interplay Ventures from September 2014 to May 2017, Merrill consulted and coached executives, managers and employees on various work related issues. Mia also worked closely with the CFO on strategic organizational design projects, as well as the rollout of new comp structures and equity across the organization.

Mia Merrill has a M.S. from Columbia University in the City of New York and a Bachelor's Degree from New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Mia also attended Ithaca College.
