Javier Calvo

Javier Calvo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governance, program management, and project development across various sectors. Currently serving as Chief of Party for the Governance for Local Solutions Program at Creative Associates International since April 2023, Javier focuses on strengthening institutions and empowering communities in El Salvador. Previous roles include Senior Program Director for USAID/OTI at Development Professionals Inc., Project Director for the LAC LEARN initiative, and Chief of Party for the Crime and Violence Prevention Program at Creative Associates International. Javier has also held positions with the International Labour Organization, Municipalidad de Curridabat, and Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos, showcasing a strong background in social services, project evaluation, and community initiatives. Javier holds a Master's degree in Project Management from Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional and has a degree from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR.
