Ruth Williams

Ruth Williams is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in sustainability, community development, and visitor engagement. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the Australia Council for the Arts since May 2018, Ruth has previously held key roles including Insight Analyst for the National Trust in Wales and Northern England, where project focus included enhancing visitor experiences and commercial viability. Ruth's background includes research assistance on flood risk management projects for Forest Research, consultancy work on sustainability issues, and leadership roles with the Welsh Government and Severn Wye Energy Agency. Ruth holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and multiple degrees from Newcastle University and has contributed to academic and practical research initiatives throughout a diverse career.
