Jim Heard

Jim Heard is currently a Partner & Private Wealth Manager at Creative Planning. Prior to joining Creative Planning in October 2020, Jim founded TrueWealth in 1999 and served as the CEO until its merger with Creative Planning. Jim also held the title of Chairman at TrueWealth from January 2018 to October 2020. Before starting TrueWealth, Jim worked as a Senior Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. In the early years of their career, Jim was a Tournament Director at AJGA, where Jim played a significant role in developing and directing tournament operations. Jim holds a BA in History from Davidson College.
