Daniel Bautista Romero

Daniel Bautista Romero has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the banking and finance sector. Daniel started their career at Banco de Bogotá, where they served as a Retail Risk Analyst before moving on to become an SMEs Risk Analyst and then a Government Risk Senior Analyst. In these roles, they were responsible for assessing risk factors, performing financial analysis, and preparing credit applications for approval.

Daniel then joined Banco Davivienda as a Corporate Credit Supervisor, where they oversaw the credit applications for large corporate clients across various sectors. Daniel reviewed credit applications, ensured compliance with bank policies, and recommended transactions to the Credit Committee.

After Banco Davivienda, Daniel joined Scotiabank Colpatria and assumed various roles over the years. Daniel started as a Credit Solutions Specialist, providing financial solutions for clients in the Wholesale Commercial segment. Daniel then became a Credit Solutions Manager, where they prepared and supported credit applications for complex deals, negotiated credit transactions, and closed deals in partnership with relationship managers. Finally, they served as a Senior Team Leader Credit Solutions, managing the entire Commercial & Government portfolio.

Most recently, Daniel joined Credicorp Capital as a VP Regional Credit Risk. In this role, they are responsible for managing credit risk and ESG assessment for the company's portfolio of private debt funds in Peru and Colombia. Daniel collaborates with the origination team for credit assessment and structuring input, reviews credit proposals, and ensures accuracy and completeness.

Daniel Bautista Romero studied at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Daniel later attended Universidad de Los Andes in 2014 to complete a Program in Bank Management, focusing on Accounting and Finance. In 2007-2008, they pursued a Graduate Program in Finance with an emphasis in Project Assessment at Universidad Externado de Colombia (Columbia University in the City of New York). Daniel also obtained a certification in the Application of International Standards (NIIF) in 2017 from CESA. Additionally, they completed a course in Effective Negotiation at Karras in 2016.
