Mohamed Omarah

Mohamed OMARAH is an accomplished legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer for Americas at Crédit Agricole CIB since July 2007, Mohamed oversees compliance risk management across the United States, Canada, and Latin America, handling all aspects of compliance related to commercial and investment banking activities. Prior roles include Managing Director, General Counsel, and Regional Head of Compliance for the Middle East and Africa, where strategic support was provided in governance and legal matters, and Head of Legal Department for Gulf Cooperation Council countries, safeguarding the institution from legal risks. Preceding experiences also encompass roles as Senior Legal Counsel at First Abu Dhabi Bank, where investment agreements were negotiated, and Senior Legal Counsel at Credit Agricole Egypt, focusing on corporate and investment banking compliance.
