Saikat Roy

Saikat Roy has over 19 years of experience in various roles within the banking and financial industry. Saikat is currently working at CareEdge Group as the Business Head - Corporate & Infra, where they are responsible for overseeing corporate and infrastructure operations. Prior to this role, Saikat held the position of Senior Director at the same company.

From 2016 to 2019, Saikat worked as the Director & Head - SME at CareEdge Group, leading the SME division in India. Saikat was responsible for achieving revenue targets through the sale of rating and grading products to MSMEs, as well as improving headcount productivity and brand visibility.

Before joining CareEdge Group, Saikat served as the General Manager and Regional Head at a banking institution, where they managed client relationships for mid and large corporate clients in the Andhra, Telangana, and Karnataka regions.

Earlier in their career, Saikat worked as the Vice President at Barclays Bank, leading the SME Banking business in Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore. Saikat successfully built and managed a sales and service team for business banking operations.

Saikat also gained experience at Standard Chartered Bank as the City Manager - Express Trade, where they focused on developing profitable and quality business in order to meet profit targets. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Manager at IndusInd Bank, responsible for corporate credit business development.

Saikat Roy completed their education at three different institutions. From 1978 to 1994, they attended St. James' School, where they earned their Indian School Certificate Exam, focusing on Science. Following this, from 1994 to 1997, they attended the University of Calcutta, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a field of study in Accounting. Lastly, from 1997 to 2000, Saikat studied at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, earning an FCMA degree in Management & Cost Accounting.
