Robert E. Lewis

Robert E. Lewis, Jr. has extensive experience in government relations, having founded and served as CEO of The Van Aucker Group, LLC from December 2018 to January 2023, focusing on issues related to Banking, Financial Services, Housing, Insurance, Privacy, and Tax. Prior to this role, Lewis was the Vice President of Legislative & Political Affairs at the Financial Services Institute from March 2012 to April 2018, where Robert E. represented a significant constituency of independent financial services firms and advisors, shaped legislative strategies, and improved lobbying efforts. Lewis held various positions in government affairs, including Government Affairs Counsel for Tax and Retirement at Financial Executives International and Manager of Government Affairs for Senator Zell Miller. Lewis earned a JD from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Morehouse College.
