Derek M. Scott

Associate Vice President, Facilities Management at Creighton University

Derek Scott serves as the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management at Creighton University, overseeing a 140-acre urban campus in Omaha, Nebraska, where responsibilities include facility construction, planning, design, custodial services, maintenance, real estate, and environmental health and safety. Prior to this role, Derek held various leadership positions within the US Air Force Reserve and the USAF, including Squadron Commander and various command roles related to civil engineering, military construction, and legislative liaison at the Pentagon. Derek's academic credentials consist of multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s of Arts in Organizational Development from The George Washington University, a Master’s Degree in Military Science from the Air Command and Staff College, an MBA from Oklahoma City University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
