Desiree Nownes

Desiree Nownes, Ed.D., currently serves as the Assistant Vice Provost at Creighton University, overseeing four departments within the Student Formation and Community area while also fulfilling the role of Deputy Title IX Officer and leading the Critical Incident Response Team. With extensive experience in student conduct and community standards, Nownes has held various leadership positions, including Senior Director of Student Formation and Senior Director of the Office of Community Standards and Wellbeing. Nownes began a professional career with roles at the City of Commerce City and Zales Jewelry Corporation, while also pursuing educational credentials, including a Doctor of Education in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Creighton University, and prior master's and bachelor's degrees in Counseling and Criminal Justice/Sociology, respectively.
