Laura Roost

Laura Roost is a dedicated academic in the field of Political Science and International Relations, currently serving as a Resident Assistant Professor and Interim Internship Director at Creighton University since July 2022. Prior to this role, Laura held multiple positions at Newberry College from August 2017 to July 2022, including Political Science Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Political Science, with responsibilities extending to public administration, international studies, and pre-law advising. Previous experience includes lecturing at Penn State University, instructing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and involvement as a Fulbright Student Grant recipient in Rwanda. Laura's academic background includes a PhD in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with specializations in Human Rights/Humanitarian Affairs and Women/Gender Studies, as well as a BA in Political Science from Morningside University. Additionally, experience at the United States Marine Corps as a Data Networking / Small Computer Systems Specialist contributes to a well-rounded profile.
