Tania Watts

Scientific Advisor at Crescendo Biologics

Dr. Tania Watts is a Professor of Immunology and holds the Canada Research Chair in anti-viral immunity at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Dr. Watts received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Alberta, followed by post-doctoral studies in Chemistry at Stanford University, where she developed an interest in Immunology. Dr. Watts’ team studies the regulation of T cell responses during acute and chronic infections and cancer. Her lab has a long-standing interest in the regulation of immunity by TNFR superfamily members. Dr. Watts is a former President of the Canadian Society for Immunology and was recently named a Distinguished fellow of the American Association of Immunologists, class of 2022.
