Derek Ching

Derek Ching currently serves as Senior Vice President at Crescent Capital Group LP, focusing on the energy and utilities sector since April 2023. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Senior Credit Analyst at Schroders from 2018 to 2023, and worked at Goldman Sachs as an Associate in Credit Research from 2014 to 2017, specializing in high-yield metals and mining, chemicals, packaging, as well as power and utilities. Derek began the career as a Research Associate at GMP Securities, LLC from 2010 to 2013. Educationally, Derek earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Finance from The University of British Columbia, graduating in 2010.
