Doug Richardson

Doug Richardson has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Doug currently serves as the Head of Operations Department at Crescent Petroleum since 2022. Previously, they were the Head of Operations at Neptune Energy from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for managing a gas plant in Algeria. Doug also worked as an Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) at MODEC Production Services Ghana JV Ltd. from 2019 to 2020 and at Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited from 2012 to 2019. Prior to that, they were an OIM at Teekay Petrojarl in 2012 and at Maersk FPSOs from 2009 to 2012. At Maersk FPSOs, they also served as an Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of a Floating Production Storage and Offload vessel. Before entering the oil and gas industry, Doug worked in the Royal Navy as an Engineering Manager responsible for the repair and maintenance of UK nuclear submarines from 1983 to 2004.

Doug Richardson attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst from 1990 to 1993, where they pursued a BEng Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering. During their time at the academy, they also focused on Post Grad PGDipNuc in a specific field of study. Additionally, they spent the same period at the Royal Navy Engineering College, where they attained another BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering, without any specified field of study.
