Mary Lam

Mary Lam, CPA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of accounting and taxation. Mary began their career as a Busy Season Intern at Kernutt Stokes LLP, where they prepared over 150 individual tax returns and developed organizational, time management, and communication skills. Mary then joined Ernst & Young as a Tax Staff, progressing to the roles of International Tax Senior, International Tax and Transaction Services Manager, and ultimately International Tax and Transaction Services Senior Manager. During their time at Ernst & Young, Mary gained expertise in international tax matters, including cross-border investment, business reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and income tax treaty analysis. Mary also acquired experience in tax return preparation and review for various entities and the preparation of international tax forms. In addition, Mary worked as a Summer Intern at Ernst & Young and served as the Vice President of Chapter Programs for Beta Alpha Psi, where they facilitated communication and maintained member activity records. Currently, Mary is the Vice President of Tax & Treasury at Cresco Labs, overseeing the company's tax function, acquisitions, restructuring, income tax compliance, and indirect tax planning. Mary specializes in transaction tax issues, internal restructurings, and cash movement. Mary's work experience spans over a decade and showcases their expertise in taxation, international tax, and leadership roles.

Mary Lam, CPA attended the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business from 2005 to 2010. Mary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Political Science and later completed their Masters degree in Accounting in 2010. In 2007 and 2008, they also participated in the CIMBA undergraduate program, although they did not obtain a degree from this program. Mary Lam obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Oregon Board of Accountancy in 2012 and from the FINANCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION, ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF in 2017.
