Harry Jubb

Head of Web Development at Cresset

Harry Jubb has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Harry started their career as a Voluntary Summer Intern at The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust in 2010, where they gained experience in pathology laboratories and conducted a method comparison project. In 2011, they joined the University of Cambridge as a Summer Student and later as a PhD Researcher, focusing on understanding and modulating protein-protein interactions. During their time at the University, Harry developed an open-source Python program called Arpeggio and a web application using Flask. Harry also utilized Python, R, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Django, and Pandas for data analysis.

In 2013, Harry worked as a Technical Consultant at Sparrho, where they provided technical expertise. Harry then joined the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in 2016 as a Staff Scientist/Postdoctoral Researcher. Harry'sresponsibilities included mapping somatic mutations in cancer to protein structure for drug design and developing a MEAN-stack Angular 4 application for analysis and visualization of cancer mutation impacts. Harry used Python, MongoDB, Pandas, NodeJS, Express, Angular, and React during their time at the institute. Harry's work at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute was published in Nature Genetics.

In 2018, Harry joined Torx® Software as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, where they focused on software development. Harry then moved to Cresset Software and Discovery, starting as a Full-Stack Software Developer and later becoming a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Web Development at Cresset Software and Discovery.

Throughout their career, Harry has demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages, database management, data analysis, and web development frameworks.

Harry Jubb has an extensive education history, specializing in biochemistry and structural bioinformatics. Harry obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Cambridge, a prestigious institution, between the years 2008 and 2011. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. at the same university, specializing in Biochemistry and Structural Bioinformatics, which they completed in the years 2011 to 2015. Alongside their formal education, they also obtained several certifications, including "Shaping Up With AngularJS" from Code School in February 2015, the "Enhanced Rider Scheme (Grade A)" from DSA in March 2013, a full UK motorcycle license (Category A) from DSA in November 2012, and a full UK driving license from DSA in April 2008.
