Nicola Dennis has a diverse work experience in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and customer service. Nicola started their career as an Organic Synthetic Chemist at GSK, where they focused on the synthesis and analysis of drugs for respiratory diseases. Following that, they joined the University of Leeds as a Masters Student, where they conducted research on synthesizing novel drug-like scaffolds.

In 2016, Nicola joined AstraZeneca as a Graduate Scientist, participating in their graduate scheme and working on various scientific projects across the drug discovery process. Nicola demonstrated strong project planning and collaboration skills while communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Nicola later joined the Royal Society of Chemistry, taking on multiple roles. As a Publishing Editor for Journals, they prioritized peer review and publication of scientific manuscripts while ensuring exceptional customer service. Nicola then served as the Deputy Editor within the Materials, Interfaces & Engineering portfolio, maximizing the impact and quality of journals. Nicola also briefly took on the role of Customer Services Manager, overseeing open access processes and contributing to the strategic development of services.

Continuing their career in account management, Nicola joined Cresset software and discovery in 2021 as an Account Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing accounts and providing customer support.

Currently, Nicola is working as an Account Manager at Torx Software. Their responsibilities involve managing accounts for Torx within Europe and the West Coast of North America, ensuring information delivery and collaborative team working for small molecule discovery chemistry.

Through their work experience, Nicola has developed strong skills in project management, customer service, team collaboration, and scientific research.

Nicola Dennis completed their education at the University of Leeds from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they pursued a degree in Medicinal Chemistry (MChem) (Ind) with a focus on Medicinal Chemistry (Industrial). In March 2021, Nicola obtained the certification of a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
